Here is the new motorhome we recently acquired.  I picked it up from the dealer in Boise, Idaho.  After doing a lot of internet shopping, we were able to negotiate a great price on this beauty.

After arriving in Boise yesterday on 2/23/17 around 1:30 we did a comprehensive walkthrough of the new motorhome and as is usually the case we found a few problems.  There was a pocket door that was damaged and a new one will need to be shipped to us.  There are a couple of accessory arm tables that attach to the sofa that were missing.  Those will also need to be sent to us.

All else seems fine.

I was trying to head out of Boise going to Salt Lake City ahead of a winter storm that was rolling in.  About an hour and a half out of Boise it began to snow a little bit with some accumulation on I-84. The second picture gives you an idea of what the driving conditions were like by about 4:00 PM.

As darkness fell, I thought it best to get off of the road.  When the big rig trucks begin to hunker down for the night I know its time for me to get off the road.  I stopped for supper at a local McDonalds just outside of Pocatello, ID.  I ended up in Pocatello because they decided to close I-84, which bypasses Pocatello and heads directly to Ogden, Utah.  According to the radio reports, they wanted focus the snow plows on I-15.

I stopped for the night at the Walmart, along with several other motorhomes and big rigs.  The bottom photos show what it looked like at 8:00am on 2/24.  The snow is supposed to let up a little later today and it is pretty clear just south of Pocatello.  If I had gotten out an hour earlier yesterday I wouldn’t be here right now.

More later.
