Picking Up Our New Motorhome in Des Moines, IA

I’m here in Des Moines, IA to pick up our new motorhome. As luck would have it the hotel I’m in was right next door to Johnny’s Steakhouse. I ordered the “small” bone in rib eye steak. It must gave been 24 ounces and I’m ashamed to say I left at least 8 to 12 ounces behind. The Iowa corn fed, 21 day dry aged beef certainly lived up to its reputation. The blue cheese crust on top of the steak was great. It’s nice to be in the Mid-West where medium rare is really medium rare.

To top things off, free martini with dinner on Sunday night.
